About Dobry Start Program

Dobry Start is a one-time cash benefit of 300 PLN for students starting the school year. The program was introduced in 2018 by the Law and Justice government to support families with school-related expenses - notebooks, textbooks, backpacks and other school supplies.

Who can receive:

  • Primary and secondary school students (grades 1-8)
  • Children aged 7-20 years
  • Students of public and non-public schools
  • No income requirement - for all families

Important information:

  • One-time payment of 300 PLN each year
  • Paid in August before school year starts
  • Benefit available from school year 2018/2019
  • Apply through electronic system or OPS
